Chicken eggs are usually white or light brown in color. The eggs of the Araucana are light blue. The color of an egg depends on the breed of the chicken and can be deduced from the color of its earlobe. A chicken with red earlobes lays brown eggs, and one with white earlobes lays white eggs.
